MCP Core - September 2026 Platform Update

This release brings major improvements across protocol compatibility, enterprise authentication, infrastructure capacity, security, and overall platform reliability.
MCP Spec 2026-07-28 & SDK v2 Support
MCP Core has been upgraded to support the MCP specification dated 2026-07-28, together with the latest MCP SDK v2.
This update ensures better alignment with the latest MCP ecosystem changes and provides a stronger foundation for upcoming protocol capabilities.
Backward-Compatible MCP Spec Support
We have introduced improved backward compatibility for previous MCP specification versions.
This allows MCP Core to work more reliably with servers and clients that have not yet migrated to the latest specification, reducing compatibility friction across different MCP implementations.
Enterprise SSO Improvements
Enterprise authentication capabilities have received a significant update.
We improved the underlying SSO architecture and expanded support for enterprise identity providers, including:
Auth0
Okta
Keycloak
These additions make it easier for organizations to integrate MCP Core with their existing identity and access management infrastructure.
Increased Infrastructure Capacity
We have expanded our production infrastructure with additional server capacity to support the continued growth of MCP Core.
The additional resources improve overall platform scalability, workload distribution, and service stability, while giving us more headroom as traffic and MCP workloads continue to increase.
Rate Limiting Improvements
Several issues related to rate limiting and request throttling have been resolved.
The updated implementation provides more consistent request handling and reduces unexpected throttling under higher workloads.
Security Hardening
This release includes multiple security improvements and platform hardening measures across the MCP Core infrastructure and application stack.
We addressed identified weaknesses, strengthened several internal security controls, and improved the overall security posture of the platform.
Documentation Updates
Our documentation has been updated to reflect:
MCP Spec 2026-07-28
MCP SDK v2
Enterprise SSO integrations
Auth0, Okta, and Keycloak support
Updated configuration and compatibility behavior
Dashboard UI Improvements
We made several visual refinements across the MCP Core dashboard to improve consistency, readability, and the overall user experience.
Bug Fixes & Stability Improvements
This release also includes a number of smaller bug fixes, stability improvements, and internal optimizations across the platform.
This update represents another major step toward making MCP Core more scalable, enterprise-ready, secure, and compatible with the evolving Model Context Protocol ecosystem.
